Dr. Michel B. Aboutanos and Dr.
Francisco Mora met with the Minister of Health of Ecuador. A
memorandum of understanding was signed between the Ministry of
Health and VCU Department of Surgery to initiate various
projects in the southeaster region of Ecuador.
May, 2005
ITSDP was in Morona Santiago province, Ecuador,
giving the Second Basic Trauma Course to the physicians of
Morona Santiago and Pastaza province and the Firts Course of
Prehospital Care in Trauma to the prehospital personnel of
Morona Santiago. The local participation was impressive.
 
 The
team of ITSDP also visits Taisha, a small community located in
the middle of the Jungle, which has a great potential of
development due to it strategic location in to the province.
ITSDP will collaborate with
Operation Helping Hands (OHH) and VCU School of medicine to
carry out a humanitarian project of delivery needed medicines
and seasonal gifts to the community. |
